Proposals, invoices, purchasing, books. Everything except the design itself.
Built in Los Angeles, by a designer and an engineer
A project tool. A separate accounting app. A separate invoice tool. Email threads for client approvals. A spreadsheet for the FF&E schedule (and a different one for last quarter, which you can’t find).
It mostly works. The cracks show up at the inconvenient times: the client who never approved the proposal you sent three weeks back, the invoice that never went out, the Sunday before estimated taxes are due.
hejmae collapses the stack into one tool. hejgent, the AI sitting on top, does a lot of it before you’d think to ask.
The platform
Projects & FF&E
Build the proposal room by room. Spec products against a floor plan instead of a spreadsheet. When the client approves, turn the approved items into purchase orders without re-keying anything.
Client portal
Send a magic link, skip the account creation. Your client reviews the proposal, signs off on items, and pays invoices from the same page. Fewer “where are we on this?” calls.
Bookkeeping
Every invoice, PO, and receipt gets tagged to a project the moment it’s created, which makes margin a number you can look up instead of estimate. Two-way sync with your existing accounting software for firms that need it. Your bookkeeper gets a free seat.
The Clipper
Click the icon on a product page, pick a project. Image, price, description come along. The whole team shares one feed of everything anyone’s clipped, searchable by photo if you can’t remember what you called it.
hejgent
hejgent isn’t a chat window. It drafts the routine email, sources the replacement chair, triages the inbox, then lines the work up for you to approve in the morning.
If a client’s last email reads as upset, hejgent pauses the routine sends until you’ve seen it. A product gets discontinued mid-project, it pulls up three alternatives in the same price band. Drop a mood board into a brief and it’ll start sourcing.
You decide everything that goes out. hejgent’s job is to make sure nothing starts as a blank page.
Nothing leaves the studio without your sign-off.
Pricing
30-day free trial. No credit card required to start.

Our story
hejmae is built alongside Emilia Studio, a Los Angeles interior design practice. Emilia is the studio’s principal and our co-founder. Anything new in hejmae gets used on her projects before it goes near anyone else’s.
Most of what’s in the product started as something she was doing by hand on a Sunday night, or worse, in a Google Sheet that the assistant kept forgetting to update. She’d describe the workflow; we’d rip the spreadsheet out and put a real feature in its place.
We’re not a venture-backed team that interviewed some designers and built a tool. We built this because we live it.
